Chamonix, France

Chamonix, France is located in the Haute Savoie department in France. Chamonix is situated at the heart of the Mont Blanc Massif mountain range. Chamonix is known as one of the premier mountaineering towns with its famous highest peak in Europe, Mont Blanc (4877 meters) just above town. Chamonix is close to the Swiss border.
